Steve was interviewed by the Canadian Jewish News. In this article, he talks about using innovative ways to mobilize young adults in getting involved in their community.
The Montreal edition of the Canadian Jewish News profiled Armand Kessous and Steve Sebag in its April 24, 2014 issue.
Steve was featured on notable.ca, a local website profiling young professionals.
Armand was recognized by Weizmann Canada as one of 10 “Leading Men” for his passionate advocacy of social justice and giving back to the community.
Mr. Kessous is part of the Estate Practitioners (STEP), the pinnacle in the field of trust and estate planning. Its rigorous requirements for experience, education and ethics make STEP one of the world's most renowned designations. Mr. Kessous is also an executive and board member of several national and local charities.
As Principal of Pavilion Investment House, Montreal, Mr. Kessous delivers tailored wealth management solutions and acts as strategic advisor for tax, philanthropic and estate planning needs. Serving a select number of clients who expect, and deserve, an extremely high level of sophistication and dedication, he combines innovative strategies and judicious stewardship to meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
Steve Sebag has been working with high net worth families for over 15 years. Through financial advice and dedication, Mr. Sebag positions himself as a sounding board for all wealth-related questions his clients may have. Prior to joining Pavilion in 2006 as a Private Wealth Counsellor, he held several positions at Assante Asset Management and TD Canada Trust. He holds a Finance degree from the John Molson School of Business and is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM). His charitable commitments include various projects within the Federation Combined Jewish Appeal in Montreal including being the current President of the Young Adult Division (under 41). Mr. Sebag is founding chair of “FIX” — a community endeavor assisting individuals struggling with addiction, and he sits on the board of directors of Federation CJA and of the Azrieli Schools UTT/Herzliah.
Mr. Shrier has over 30 years of tax experience; almost 20 of those years were spent as a tax partner with BDO Canada LLP practicing in its Montreal office. Mr. Shrier is a C.A., C.P.A. and M.B.A graduate. His principle areas of practice included providing Canadian, U.S. and cross-border Canada-U.S. tax advice to high net worth taxpayers and entrepreneurs. The tax advice included optimizing clients’ after-tax returns when doing business domestically and internationally, minimizing the tax bite related to earning investment income during one’s lifetime and structuring a client’s affairs to minimize tax at death, again both from a Canadian and cross-border tax perspective.
Although Mr. Shrier has recently retired as a partner with BDO, he still maintains his professional memberships with the Ordre des Comptables Professionnels Agrées du Quebec and the Canadian Tax Foundation. Mr. Shrier acts a tax consultant through an accounting firm independent from Pavilion Investment House.
