Mr. Belland is a seasoned investment professional with 20 years’ experience in sales and business development. He joined the company (formerly Brockhouse Cooper) in 1992 and has helped grow the securities trading division to $50 billion traded annually today. In 1997, Mr. Belland was involved in the establishment of Brockhouse Cooper’s U.S. office and supported the pension consulting sales effort in the region. He also worked closely with Brockhouse Cooper South Africa, an affiliated company, influencing the structure and operations of both securities trading and transition management, as well as training staff. In 2002, Mr. Belland developed a business relationship in Japan with an asset management firm that today leverages the firm’s manager research into the Japanese pension market. More recently, in 2010, he enhanced the activities of the securities trading division with the introduction of Global Macro Research for investment managers and institutional investors. Mr. Belland holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree from McGill University and is a CFA® charterholder.
